A postdoc position is available at the UPJV - Groupe de Recherche sur l'Alcool et les Pharmacodépendances (GRAP, INSERM UMR 1247 - https://grap.u-picardie.fr/ ), Amiens, France. Our laboratory uses animal models of binge drinking and alcohol addiction to define molecular mechanisms underlying psychobiological risks in alcohol use disorder.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious candidate who enjoys carrying out scientific projects (IReSP-INCa Funds for fighting against addictions). As a postdoc, your research will focus on understanding the role of the prefrontal cortex in the development compulsive alcohol seeking behaviors. We are going to combine a variety of state-of-the-art techniques, including chemogenetics, optogenetics, fiber photometry and Single-Cell Calcium Imaging. The appointment will initially be for 1 year. After a satisfactory evaluation of the initial appointment, the contract will be extended for a total duration of 3 years. This is competitive salaried position and will be open until filled.
