DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: Grenoble Institute of neuroscience We are looking for a motivated post doc to work on spinal cord injuries. Our previous work identified molecules of interest that promote axonal growth and regeneration. We aim to test them now to promote regeneration and functional recovery after spinal cord injuries. These results will allow us to propose new therapeutic strategies in the context of spinal cord injuries. The post-doctoral position is funded for 2 years through a grant from Wings for Life. The selected candidate will join Homaira NAWABI’s team at the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience. The team works on the molecular mechanism of nervous system regeneration and circuit re-formation. The team develops and uses state of the art molecular and cellular approaches, biochemistry, imaging (confocal, live imaging, light sheet microscope and super resolution)., mouse models of regeneration and behavior assays. The selected candidate should know mouse handling, histology (cryostat sectioning, immunostaining) and imaging. A background in mouse surgery will spend few weeks in the US to our collaborator’s lab. The lab is located within mountains: all ski and hiking lovers will thrive in Grenoble. We are 3h away from Paris by train and 3h away from Marseille and the Mediterranean Sea. Excellent environment for life-work balance. |
