DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: The Tübingen Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tübingen invites applications for a position at the newly founded Hertie Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Brain Health as a Endowed Professor (W3) of AI-based Modeling in Neurology. Missions: The successful candidate will be appointed as a civil servant with “Beamten” status provided she or he meets the criteria. The successful candidate will conduct internationally visible, innovative research on artificial intelligence (AI) methods for modelling the healthy and diseased brain from a translational and clinical perspective, as evidenced by publications in high impact journals and conferences. This can include the development and use of brain simulations to better understand healthy brain function and the effects of neurological diseases (e.g. epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s). The integration of simulations and clinical neurodata (e.g. functional MRI imaging, EEG, electrophysiology) with the help of machine learning as well as the development and provision of corresponding data infrastructures should be a research focus. The acquisition of substantial third-party funding is a prerequisite.
