Working place: CNRS / team of K. Benchenane (within the Brain Plasticity unit within the framework of an ERC project in progress in the laboratory)

Missions:

Management of a project corresponding to a work-package of the ERC MNEMOSYNE project obtained by Karim Benchenane.

The aim of this project is to study the influence of sleep in the establishment of aversive memory and to propose a proof of concept for the use of brain-computer interfaces during sleep to treat pathologies associated with fear or anxiety such as post-traumatic stress disorders.

Qualifications:

• Surgery and intracerebral implantation of electrodes in rodents. Knowledge of the sleep literature. Analysis of electrophysiological data with Matlab and Python.
• Expertise in artificial intelligence and brain-machine interface required. Project management and article writing.
