DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: INMED Missions: INMED has an opening PhD position in the Cortico-Basal Ganglia Circuits and Behavior (CBGB) to study the role of local striatal interneurons in flexible or stereotyped motor behavior. The project asks whether and how interneurons influence mouse behavior in explorative or familiar context and will dissect their specific roles in striatal population dynamics, using a multi-scale approach from synapses to neurons to neuronal circuits (Fino et al., 2018, Nat Comm, Badreddine et al., 2022, Cell Reports). We combine multiphoton imaging, circuit manipulation (chemo-/optogenetics) and mapping, and patch-clamp multi-recordings in ex vivo and in vivo transgenic mouse models. Qualifications: They are seeking motivated candidates strongly interested in neurophysiology and circuit neuroscience. Other: The position is funded by AMiDex Aix-Marseille University and is intended to start between October and December 2023. |
