DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: Pasteur institute Missions: The Pasteur Hearing Institute seeks to recruit a new research group to reinforce its program on fundamental auditory and cognitive neuroscience and translational approaches to human hearing disorders. We are looking for outstanding applicants from various backgrounds, with proven ability to collaborate, and eager to move forward our understanding of hearing in health and disease. Successful applicants will join the newly established Hearing Institute located in the heart of Paris, and the vibrant interdisciplinary community of the Institut Pasteur. Depending on their prior experience, the selected candidate will be appointed with a tenure track position to lead a group of up to 6 (G5 Track) or up to 8 people (G5+ Track). The group will be established for an initial period of 5 year term, with the option to subsequently apply for a 10-year full research group (U10). An attractive start-up package matching the experience of the candidate will be provided, including institutional salaries (principal investigator, engineer, postdoc), a substantial contribution to running costs and equipment, access to on campus state-of-the-art technology core facilities, as well as support for relocation expenses and administrative issues. The new group will also receive full support of the Institut Pasteur grant office to compete for national and international funding opportunities. Qualifications: Eligibility: G5 track junior group leaders must be less than 8 years after PhD, while G5+ track group leaders must be less than 12 years after PhD at the time of submission. For the G5 track, women are eligible up to 10 years after their PhD if they have one child and up to 12 years after their PhD if they have two or more children. For the G5+ track, women are eligible up to 14 years after their PhD if they have one child and up to 16 years after their PhD if they have two or more children. |
