DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: The Paris Brain Institute (ICM) / Team of Severine Boillee The Paris Brain Institute is a private foundation recognized as being of public utility, whose purpose is fundamental and clinical research on the nervous system. On the same site, 800 researchers, engineers and physicians cover all the disciplines of neurology, with the aim of accelerating discoveries on brain function, and the development of treatments for neurological and neurodegenerative diseases. Missions: You are passionate about neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation ? You want to use iPSc and organoid technologies ? Join the Team of Severine Boillee at the ICM and participate in medical research in the field of neuroscience. We work on the mechanisms leading to motor neuron degeneration in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). We showed in ALS mouse models, that microglial cells/macrophages participated to ALS disease progression. As ALS is a heterogenous disease, our question is now to analyze, in new iPSc-/organoid-based models, the development of ALS pathological hallmarks and the contribution of immune cells in relation to ALS heterogeneity.
