DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin (Department: School of Biochemistry and Immunology) Missions: We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised post-graduate student with a degree or MSc in neuroscience, inflammation, physiology or related subjects and with a strong interest in neuroscience and inflammation to work on an exciting project on neuroinflammation, energy metabolism, neurodegeneration and cognitive function. The post is funded by the Irish Research Council. The project will examine the impact of systemic inflammation, triggered by Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF-alpha), on neuro-inflammatory, cognitive, metabolic and neurodegenerative processes in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease. The work will involve molecular, physiological, behavioural and histological approaches to neuroinflammation, metabolism and neurodegeneration and outcomes of systemic inflammation. |
