Missions:

Design and organize the collection and processing of data from calcium imaging of the whole brain of A. mexicanus larvae, using a two-photon light sheet microscope. Analyze the data using bigdata approach to understand the evolutionary changes in brain dynamics between surface and cavefish.

Activities:

• Perform calcium imaging experiments with a light sheet microscope
• Process the data obtained using complex mathematical methods.
• Designing adequate mathematical models
• Disseminate and promote technological results and achievements in the form of publications and presentations at conferences.

Qualifications:

Experience in computational and theoretical neuroscience. Bsc in physics. The researcher must be able to analyze big data using dimensionality reduction methods (PCA, factor analysis, ICA, etc) and formulate adapted mathematical models.
