DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: CNRS Missions: Within the ANR « DEVISE » project (https://anr.fr/Projet-ANR-20-CE19-0018), the recruited candidate will investigate the behaviour and the perceptual performance of low vision patients immersed in a Virtual Reality (VR) headset.
1. Recruit low-vision patients through telephone calls. 2. Run with patients with patients in an ophthalmology center some of the experiments described in the ANR project DEVISE. The methods will be in the framework of experimental methods and questionnaire studies. In these experiments, low vision persons will perform visuo-motor tasks while seating and wearing a VR headset. 3. Run the same experiments as described above with age-matched persons (controls). 4. Edit slightly Python scripts that control experiments in order to modify the parameters specific to each experiment. The experiments will have been created as python scripts by permanent researchers of the project. These scripts will use an open-source software called « PTVR » (Perception Toolbox for Virtual Reality) and developed by our group (https://ptvr.inria.fr). 5. Analyse the experimental data with with the open-source Rstudio software. 6. Participate in the writing of scientific papers corresponding to experimental results 7. Participate in a national or international conference to present results.
Qualifications: 1. Ph.D in the field of experimental psychology or behavioural neuroscience less than 3 years ago. |
