DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: ICM - Paris Brain Institute Missions: Dr. Sara Bizzotto (PI) at Inserm, Paris Brain Institute (France) is recruiting a postdoctoral The goal of the project is to study cell lineages in the human central nervous system. Recent work has shown that each cell in the human body has a unique DNA that carries hundreds to thousands of somatic mosaic mutations. Some of these mutations occur in progenitor cells during development, and are passed to the progeny thus, functioning as markers of cell lineages that are embedded in human tissues.
Qualifications: Candidates should have a competitive track record and a strong interest in neurodevelopment and neurogenomics. Past experience in genetics/genomics, and/or molecular and cell biology is preferred. The project involves the generation of a considerable amount of sequencing data (DNA and RNA). Although the postdoc will be assisted by a computational biologist, as well as a bioinformatic/data analysis facility, the candidate should possess some computational skills (Python and/or R).
