DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: Institute of Movement Sciences / Aix-Marseille Université Missions: The candidate will have to conduct semi-directed interviews to precisely describe non-painful phantom sensations of the participants as well as factors influencing them (such as stimulation of the residual limb, wearing a prosthesis, walking). Then, the precise influence of global and local pression on the residual limb on phantom sensations will be explored with help of dedicated tools in order to make a “map of referred sensations”. Electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings can possibly be done during this examination, which will allow to obtain fundamental knowledge about the phenomenon and test hypotheses about the underlying mechanisms. Also, the results will allow adjustments in the socket of the prosthesis to induce coherent phantom sensations during walking, work that will be done in collaboration with PROTEOR. Qualifications: A Master 2 diploma is required, preferentially (although not mandatory) in Human Movement Sciences, or in behavioral or integrative Neurosciences. The candidate must have participated in at least one research project, be able to autonomously search relevant scientific literature, and critically integrate new information into their research. It would be an advantage if the candidate has experience with clinical and/or neuroscientific research. Experience in EEG-signal recording and processing, and programming in matlab and/or python will be appreciated. |
