Missions:

The PhD project aims at (1) documenting via an ethological approach the ontogenesis of manual laterality associated with gestural communication versus object manipulation in baboons monitored in social groups at the CNRS primatology station (Rousset); (2) investigating their neuroanatomical correlates at different stages of development via the analysis of anatomical MRI brain images at the CRPN (Marseille); (3) studying the correlates between manual preferences (gestures versus manipulation) and hemispheric specialization of language in human with neurology patients at the Timone hospital (Marseille).
