Successful junior candidates (equivalent to Assistant Professor) will be appointed with a permanent position, and as head of a group of 6 people. These groups will be created for a period of 5 years and may thereafter compete for a full research group.

Missions:

The Institut Pasteur launches an international call to recruit new junior research group leaders in the application of cutting-edge transdisciplinary approaches to the exploration of host-microbe, tissue-tissue, or host-environment interactions. Research areas include:

  • Vaccinology & immunotherapies.
  • Infectious diseases, with a specific focus on anti-microbial resistance, medicinal chemistry and chemical biology.
  • Neuro-immunology and neurodevelopment.
  • Maternal and child health (immunology, infection, pregnancy, development).

We also welcome applications from researchers developing innovative AI methodologies to advance these areas of biology and health sciences.

Qualifications: 

  • Eligible candidates typically have between between 2 and 12 years of post-PhD experience. For primary caretakers, eligibility is extended  to 14 to 16 years post-PhD. Applicants with questions about their eligibility are encouraged to reach out for clarification before applying.
