Details of the offer
-The building of the Paris-Saclay Institute of Neurosciences -Neuro-PSI- is located on the CEA site in Saclay, next to the NeuroSpin brain imaging institute. Behavioral experiments will take place at Neuro-PSI.
Neuro-PSI includes 21 research teams, platforms and technical services allowing the study of brain function in several animal models at all levels. The postdoctoral researcher will work in the team led by Sylvie Granon, Neurobiology of decision-making (https://neuropsi.cnrs.fr/departements/cnn/equipe-sylvie-granon/).
Access to the CEA site is served by a bus service from the RER the counter and Massy. Nevertheless, the transport time from Paris requires several changes and is around 1h20 minutes, around 40 minutes by car depending on traffic.
--The missions will be part of a collaborative research project on the physiological role of the Aη peptide in modulating the NMDA receptor, and its impact on brain function and social cognition in mice.
Thanks to transgenic animals over-expressing or under-expressing the Aη peptide, the researcher will carry out a characterization of the role of this peptide in social behavior and in calcium dynamics in hippocampo-prefrontal circuit during these behaviors, using in-vivo recording of calcium dynamic in neurons of behaving animals.
Depending on the deficits observed in animals with modulating Aη levels, rescue strategies by adding Aη will make it possible to confirm the role of this peptide.
Activities
- conduction of behavioral experiments on males and females
-conduction of calcium imaging recording in brain during behavior on males and females
- video and audio data analysis of social behaviors
- analyses of calcium data
- histological analyzes
