Texte de l'offre | The Laboratory of Cognition, Action and Plasticity of Sensorimotor System (CAPS) at Inserm-U1093, Bourgogne University (Dijon, France) aims at understanding human motor function at different levels - peripheral and spinal level to quantify motor skills and their adaptation and plasticity, - high-order cognitive level to investigate multimodal integration involving motor imagery, embodied cognition, memory-driven behaviours... - neural networks to explore the neural networks by fMRI and computational modelling. Located in the attractive area of the Hospital and University campus of Dijon, the CAPS laboratory benefits from multidisciplinary research equipment and platforms: psychophysics measurement devices for motor function investigation and training, virtual reality video displays,3D movement analysis system (Vicon), transcranial magnetic stimulators (Magstim) coupled to a neuronavigation system (Brainsight), fMRI, EEG, humanoid and non-humanoid robotic platforms... The CAPS laboratory currently has an open post-doctoral position, which will start in 2022, February 28th (1 year). The candidate will investigate behavioral markers for embodiment in subjects exposed to telepresence through beaming into the iCub robot. We are interested in candidates with a background in perceptual/cognitive neuroscience and/or related human-robot interactions training. Experience in human neuroimaging (MRI) is a plus. International applicants are welcome. Successful applicants will be able to participate in a cutting-edge research program to understand the cognitive and neural basis of body perception during human-robot interactions, including telepresence. In our research team, we recently investigated the changes in body self, including robotic embodiment induced by sensory-motor manipulations during robotic telepresence (Ventre-Dominey et al, 2019; Farizon et al, 2021). In the upcoming research, behavioral studies will investigate body and space representation while hand reaching during robotic telepresence. This will provide the basis for future follow-up investigations using advanced large-scale brain imaging techniques coupled to humanoid robotic platforms. Research questions may include: What are the consequences of robotic telepresence in body and space perception?
To apply, please email J. Ventre-Dominey at jocelyne.ventre-dominey@inserm.fr, a CV, a 1-2 page research statement (including accomplishments and interests), and names and contacts for 2-3 referees.
Dijon is a vibrant and beautiful European city with a beautiful historical center and diverse activities.
