DETAILS OF THE OFFER | Working place: "neural circuits and motor control" team at NeuroPSI Missions: We are looking for a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher to lead a project on the organization of descending motor pathways in the brainstem. Our research focuses on the cooperative roles of the brainstem and spinal cord in the development of integrated and adaptive motor behaviors. We focus on locomotion, a vital motor function whose fundamental principles are well-conserved between species. Using the mouse model, we deploy multidisciplinary approaches and concepts interfacing developmental neurobiology, neural connectivity, and the study of behavior. Our methods include ex-vivo electrophysiology, in vivo optogenetics and functional imaging, virus-based circuit tracings, and immunohistochemistry. Main missions include:
