Working place: Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience of Paris (IPNP; Inserm U1266)
 

Missions:

Applicants are invited for a 2-year position funded by the Atip-Avenir program at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience of Paris (IPNP; Inserm U1266), to study the role of brain borders, i.e., meninges and perivascular spaces, on the healthy and diseased brain. Specifically, the goal of this study is to unravel the cause-and-effect relationship between brain borders and cerebrovascular diseases using the following framework:

  • characterization of the brain perivascular spaces (structure and function);
  • cell-cell interactions regulating perivascular space homeostasis;
  • genetic and pharmaceutic manipulations of the perivascular spaces.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting key experiments involving various genetic mouse models, in vivo manipulations and recordings, as well as ex vivo tissue analyses. This projects includes presenting the results at scientific conferences, writing research manuscripts and other related tasks as required.
