Working place: The Laboratory of Denis Jabaudon and Thomas Blauwblomme at the Imagine Institute (Necker Hospital)

The project is aimed at understanding the role of developmental timing in circuit assembly in both normal and pathological conditions, with a particular focus on epilepsy. This collaborative project combines cutting-edge approaches in molecular biology and bioinformatics to understand human cortical development and function.

Missions:

Position 1: Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Researcher

• Lead computational analyses of single-cell genomics data
• Develop and implement new analytical pipelines for large-scale genomic datasets
• Integrate multiple data modalities to understand cortical cellular diversity
• Collaborate with experimental researchers

Position 2: Molecular Biology Postdoctoral Researcher

• Design and execute experiments to study cortical development and circuit assembly
• Implement advanced molecular techniques and tissue analysis methods
• Ideally, experience with in vitro preparations
• Work with human tissue samples and disease models
• Collaborate with computational scientists to validate findings

The successful applicants will work in a stimulating, international environment, with access to cutting-edge technologies in a rich scientific community. The project will combine solid basic neuroscientific approaches in normal and pathological tissue, in a translational project involving unique access to human tissue samples.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Genetics, Computational Biology, or related fields
• Strong publication record
• Interest in setting up a new research team and ability to work independently.
