Place of work: The Social and Cognitive Psychology Laboratory (LAPSCO–UMR UCA-CNRS 

Missions: 

The post-doctoral fellow will work at the LAPSCO, as part of the ANR-funded project headed by Jean-Claude Croizet. At the interface of cognitive and social psychology, the IMPROVE project aims to examine the cognitive and emotional impact of psychosocial interventions (metacognitive reinterpretation of difficulty and self-affirmation) on the cognitive and academic performance of 6th graders, and to specify the conditions for its moderation.

Activities:

• coordination with schools
• finalization of experimental protocols
• pre-registration of studies
• data collection in schools
• data analysis
• participation in writing articles and promoting results
• reporting to participating schools

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in the experimental method
• Data analysis skills (familiarity with R)
• Familiarity with qualitative research methods (ethnographic observations, interviews), demonstrated through research experience
• Intermediate level of English
• Familiarity with open and reproducible science practices
• Experience conducting research in natural settings (outside the laboratory)
