Missions:
As part of its development and to support its Executive Director, the Paris Brain Institute is recruiting a Head of Cabinet to the Executive Director, in charge of implementing and monitoring the operational and strategic aspects of the Executive Director’s activities, as well as coordinating their communication, both internally and externally.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Head of Cabinet will be responsible for the following tasks :
Strategic and operational support for Executive Director
- Assisting the Executive Director in the management and follow-up of scientific and strategic projects: gathering the necessary information, preparing the files, particularly those with scientific content, drafting summary notes, preparing presentations, etc.
- Preparing and following up internal meetings and steering committees: organization, preparation of support materials, drafting of minutes and records of decisions, follow-up of actions and decisions taken.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director and her executive assistant, drafting various content and correspondences (letters, emails, internal memos, language, etc.).
Communication, coordination and representation of the Executive Director
- Facilitating exchanges between the Executive Director and internal contacts, as well as the Institute's various departments (scientific teams, platforms, support functions, etc.).
- Assisting the Executive Director in her relations with the Institute's external partners in France and abroad
- Contributing to corporate communications: coordinating with the Communication Department for the organization or management of events (national and international) involving the Executive Director, contributing to the preparation of internal and external communications on behalf of the Executive Director.
- Representing General Management at various meetings and working groups
Qualifications:
- PhD in science or equivalent
Know-how:
- Significant experience in a management or coordination position, preferably in an international scientific or academic environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the administrative, institutional and/or political environment of French research and higher education
- Being bilingual in English is essential, a third language would be a plus
